Passing of Thomas Lang

The former president of NBI & NGF, Thomas Lang, born on March 26, 1958, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Elected to the Board of the Swiss National Bureau of Insurance and the Swiss National Guarantee Fund in September 1998 and as their President in 2017, Thomas Lang served the two associations with unparalleled expertise and passion for 24 years. His legal skills and in-depth knowledge of motor liability law have been of great benefit to the NBI and the NGF and have fostered a culture of continuous dialogue and cooperation.

Known for his precision, team spirit and approachability, Thomas Lang was a source of support and wisdom to his colleagues. He always showed an open mind and a willingness to take on challenges, constantly aiming to find solutions that satisfied all parties in the interest of road traffic victims.
