New Managing Director

As of 01.1.2023, Daniel Diez will lead the operational business of both associations NBI and NGF as the new Managing Director. The current Managing Director, Daniel Wernli, will succeed Thomas Lang as President of the NBI and the NGF from that date.

Daniel Diez holds a degree in insurance management and a CAS in business process management. He completed his apprenticeship in insurance at Baloise Insurance and worked for this company until 2006 as a claims handler in the motor, private and commercial liability and property insurance sectors. He then moved to AXA Winterthur, where he handled claims in the motor, private and public liability and international claims lines until 2010. In 2011, he took over the management of the International Claims team at AXA Switzerland, which he led for five years. Since 2016, Daniel Diez has been Process Manager / Claims Specialist in the areas of liability and motor vehicle insurance and is responsible for the management and coordination of various projects in the areas of automation, digitalisation and customer centricity.

With his cross-sector knowledge and many years of experience in the field of claims, his leadership experience and his in-depth knowledge in the areas of digitalisation and process optimisation, Daniel Diez brings everything he needs to successfully manage the association business of the NBI and the NGF together with our board of directors as well as his team in the future.
