Legal Framework
The operation of the National Guarantee Fund is based on divers national and international legal principles.
The legislation NGF determine the organisation, the tasks and the financing of the National Guarantee Fund. The basic principles are specified in art. 76 of the Swiss Road Traffic Law.
The NGF is an association. The statutes provide information on the purpose, the financing and the organisation of the association.
The NGF is subject to supervision by divers authorities in Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein.
The NGF has concluded international agreements with the guarantee funds of the EEA member states to insure improved protection of injured parties within the EEA and Switzerland.
